Fished Harrisville this morning with Bob and Alex. They wanted to see what all the hype was about 😎

We started fishing in 30' feet of water and never went deeper than 45'.

I heard Atlantics and Coho were in shallow and they wanted to see if we could catch a few. We kicked the speed up to salmon speeds of 2.8-3.4 and next thing you know, the fights were on . We caught lake trout today at speeds of 3.4 mph 🤯 which is unheard of. These trout are so aggressive this time of the year 🫶

Alex caught the big fish of the trip / year so far, with a lake trout weighing in at almost 14.5 lbs on a 2 color high line 😛 crazy...

We landed ten, kept nine, and lost two... What a great trip.

Give us a call to see these results repeated 😊

Today was the day 🙌 boat finally hit the water ( then immediately smacked a rock backing from the dock due to the low water this year 🤦‍♂️)

Shake down trip to make sure everything is 💯%. All systems a go 😎

Went to my marks, third line just set when first fish hit the deck 🫶 an hour and a half later seven fish had graced the boat by eagerly attacking the baits swimming by them.

These lake trout are so fiesty and aggressive in the cold water. It's been a long winter waiting for big water fishing to start, but it's finally here 🙌

Give us a call to book a trip and make some memories 😊

Last trip of the 2023 season!

Such a bittersweet trip, can't believe the summer could fly by that fast.

May started with Harrisville being insane for lake trout catches. The cold water and aggressive fish made for the best possible outcome, full coolers 😊

Then our annual trip to Pentwater brought smiles to our faces as we dialed in the king bite. The silver screamers made for some crazy action as the reels spilled out line in battle after battle. Some we won 🙌 and well some they got the upper hand 😬.

June brought us back to the east side and we spent the month running the boat in Harrisville, Oscoda and Thunder bay in Alpena. Lake trout limits were almost a given on each trip and with the warmer waters setting up, the Atlantic salmon and Coho bite was on.

We spent June and July with trip after trip of memories made, it was at this time we realized just how fast the summer was going by 🥺

Then came August 🫤 the winds of change came abruptly and when I say winds I mean winds 😖 trip after trip was either canceled or cut short due to the windy conditions and waves.

We were able to get out a few times but the water had rolled so much that the fish were scattered and the struggle was real.

A lot of great memories throughout the year.

We are so looking forward to the upcoming 2024 season, and excited about the new friends and memories to be made.
