Today was epic! John Bergsma with Fisherman's Digest and Jeff Miller owner of Traxstech came to Harrisville today and jumped on the boat to shoot footage for one of John's TV shows 🫶

I've been talking with John by phone to determine a good day to video, and boy did we pick a winner 😏 it was glass on Lake Huron today. Jeff came aboard to talk about his rod holders and downriggers that we installed on Adeline, turning her into a fish catching beauty on the water 😍

We had two directions for the show today, one was for Jeff to showcase and talk about traxstech and how any boat at any age could be transformed, and the second I asked if I could bring my mate Casey and his three sons on board to show fishing is a family event and fun for everyone 🤟

Miles, Corbin and Easton got to set lines, pick lures and reel in fish after fish today with an ending showcase of all three boys helping each other land a personal best for me and Adeline, a 20# Lake trout dinosaur 😳🙌 on a 12 color long line (550' behind the boat 😜) Casey netted the fish and John jumped into action giving closing credits for the show and then we were able to release the 30 year old fish back into the lake 🫶

We caught ten lake trout and a five pound steelhead today, but catching the fish was a small part. Jeff was able to show me how to maximize my boat for a more fluid /user friendly fishing platform, and John really got into helping and teaching the boys about salmon fishing, only strengthening Casey's strong parenting skills of raising our next generation of outdoorsmen 👊

John wasn't sure when the show will be aired, but he will contact me once he finds out after editing, and I'll post and let you know immediately as well 😊 Fisherman's digest airs on CBS sports, FOX sports, YouTube, Pursuit Outdoor channel and Wild TV Canada as well as being nationally syndicated.

Thank you so much, John and Jeff for allowing us with Fishcop Charters to show what Harrisville and the northern Lake Huron ports around us have to offer ❤️

Adeline's first fishing trip of 2025 did not disappoint 😍!!!

A five man limit of Lake trout in three hours fishing this Carolina Classic for the first time. 😍🫶 To say I'm in love with this girl is an understatement right now!

She preformed flawlessly. The 10 and a half foot wide beam let four rather large guys fight a triple simultaneously.

I was able to bring all four of my licensed first mates aboard for Adeline's shake down trip this morning ❤️ first time we've all been able to get together 🫶 ( the Coast Guard requires a mate working on a charter boat to be enrolled in a random drug testing program - all of our mates are enrolled in the Michigan charter boat association)

We had singles, doubles, and a triple today, they were hungry and active and ready to fight 🙌

Give us a call if you want to spend the day making great memories with your friends and family 🫶

Please welcome our newest member to the Fishcop family 🫡🙌🫶

Felecia is getting a big sister 🙌🫶

I just closed on a 28' Carolina Classic. She's 5' longer and 2' wider than felecia. This boat weighs almost 15,000 lbs 🤯 felecia only weighs 4,200 😳 this girl be thick 😘.

I lost so many trips last summer due to weather ( anything over 10 mph winds 😑 and I had to cancel ) and I was only able to take four people max and it was tight at that. I knew that last year was a test run with chartering, and with the amazing success we had, I knew we had to upgrade.

Since Sept., I've looked seriously at seven boats, put on 2,800 miles and got excited and disappointed six times. Boats on Facebook looked nothing like the photos listed, sketchy cover ups, the last boat I literally walked right by not recognizing the boat I just drove five hours to see 😤 Then I met Josh Compeau with Precision Yacht Sales, I told him what I was trying to do and what I was looking for, that night, I had three boats matching my parameters in my Email. That's when I saw.... Her 😍

I wanted a heavy well built boat able to handle rough seas but keep customers safe. I wanted more room for comfort for our clients able to take six people myself and a mate, I wanted a boat with a full restroom and galley. But mostly, I wanted a boat that spoke to me, in great shape that's safe and rides well in all conditions. I looked at Tiara's, Pursuit's, Sportcraft's, and then finally.... A Carolina Classic ❤️ I didn't know much about the brand until I did research on them. Lights out, all the boxes checked. They are built for rough waters and safety. They ride extremely well and are roomy. They were built with fisherman in mind.

This boat has had two owners, always fresh water kept and was a cruising boat. I have the entire winter to rig her up and outfit her to the tenth power 😎

Please welcome ( I don't have her named yet 😬) our newest addition to Fishcop charters ❤️❤️❤️❤️
